For this purse, I used some of my denim and added fabric from two sheets someone had given me.
These sheets aren't 100% cotton, but they turned out about the same as the cotton fabrics I used. You get a LOT of yardage out of a sheet, so I recommend you pick some up at thrift shops when you find pretty ones. They're useful for all kinds of sewing projects.

I am enjoying all the purses you have made. Tonight I was in JoAnn's holding the die to make the rag purses. I remembered your creations and I put the die back. Thank you for all the inspiration you share with us so generously. Happy Thanksgiving.
Oh my, I don't know if I could have resisted that die. :) They're out of stock everywhere I've found them online, and I can't find a Joann's anywhere that carries them. Good for you, though!
One thing I have found is that it really doesn't matter if your edges are scalloped or not. The effect is pretty much the same once it starts ragging.
